# Exporting notes - ReviewDeck docs

> Take a version's notes out of ReviewDeck: a PDF to share, markers for your editing timeline, or a spreadsheet. Every reviewer's notes go in.

ReviewDeck 0.3.1. Checked 21 October 2026. https://reviewdeck.app/docs/exporting-notes

## Notes as a PDF

A document with every note and the frame it's on, drawings included, to read through or hand on.

1. (0:00) Open the review, click **Export** and choose **Notes as PDF, CSV or markers…**
2. (0:03) Pick **PDF document**.
3. (0:05) Click **Export** and choose where to save it.
4. (0:12) Open the PDF: each note with its frame, its drawing on the picture and who wrote it.

Tick **Skip resolved notes** to leave out the ones marked Addressed or Won't fix. A note on a range shows a strip of frames from its in to its out, and a note on a 3D review shows the view it was written from. With a Team licence, the PDF wears your logo and colours, with "made with ReviewDeck" beside them. With Studio, it carries yours alone.

## Markers for your editor

Each note becomes a marker at its frame, with its text, for Resolve, Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro.

1. (0:00) Click **Export** and choose **Notes as PDF, CSV or markers…**
2. (0:03) Pick the format for your editor, click **Export** and save the file.

Then bring it into your editor:

- **EDL markers (DaVinci Resolve)** - In Resolve, right-click the timeline and choose Timelines, Import, Timeline Markers from EDL.
- **Final Cut Pro XML** - Markers for Final Cut Pro, and for DaVinci Resolve too.
- **Premiere Pro XML** - Sequence markers for Premiere Pro: File, Import, and pick the .xml.

The EDL puts the markers on a timeline you already have. Final Cut Pro and Premiere XML arrive as a new sequence named after the review, carrying the markers. If your timeline doesn't start at 00:00:00:00, line its start up with the review's before importing, or the markers land off by the difference. Notes on a still have no time, so they are left out of the marker files; the CSV keeps them.

## CSV

One row per note, with its timecode, who wrote it, its status and its text, for Excel, Google Sheets or your own tracking.

1. Click **Export** and choose **Notes as PDF, CSV or markers…**
2. Pick **CSV spreadsheet**, click **Export** and save it.
